EARS Administration Form |
||
|
This is the main administration form for the ALE Effort Approval and Reporting System (EARS). This application is well suited to the Windows Explorer-like tree interface displayed in the left pane. An understanding of EARS is required to truly understand this form. The tree in the left pane displays report status (Open, Accepted, or Denied - denoted by the icons). Report status cascades up the tree. This means that if one department is open the entire month is open. In this example, all September reports have been approved and there is no reason to drill down into that month. However, October has unresolved issues. The upper right pane displays report details. You can view the comments and generate a PDF copy of the web report. You can also click to e-mail the department head. The bottom right pane displays the detail contained in the web report. You can click on this detail to go directly to any items that require adjustment (as requested in the comments section). In the above example, department 110 reported employee Kelly had transferred to another department. The administrator presumably clicked on Kelly's name in the detail and posted an adjustment. He then generated another report. We know this because department 110 - revision 1 is denied but revision 2 is open. Generating the new revision reset the department flag from denied (like department 118) to open. He could now click on the e-mail icon and notify department 110 that a new report is available for approval. |
